Artists went wild for the "Visions of the Boreal Forest: Artists Deep in the Northern Wilderness" exhibit now on view at the Wildling Art Museum. Seven painterly sorts went on canoe trip deep into the woods to capture the nature on their own terms for the show. "When it takes weeks of paddling to get somewhere, it changes how you see things when you get there," said artist Gary McGuffin, whose work is included. Scientific data complements the exhibit, which will open at the Smithsonian Institution next year.
